Michael Tomkiewicz grew up in small town California. His early life was punctuated by camping, rafting, and outdoor adventure that inspired his imagination and solidified his admiration for the natural world. Throughout his formative years, he routinely wrote short stories, many he thought humorous, and coerced his friends and family to read them. After graduating a year early from high school, Michael took a year off to write the first draft of a story that had percolated in his head for a few years.
Once completed, he retired to college and graduated in 2015 Magna Cum Laude from Azusa Pacific University with a Bachelors in English: Literature. He then took another year to revise his earlier draft while working on a dude ranch in northern California.
On his spare time, he can be found in his natural habitat: the wilderness with a tall mug of coffee.
